Get Ready for our Shoot!
Talk it up! Talk about the session a lot in the week leading up to it so they know how excited you are and that it’s going to be fun! They can even have smile contests to practice for the camera! You might even want to talk to them about all the things that are going to happen and show them pictures of me on my blog or website so that they know who they will be meeting!
We definitely want adorable and carefully planned out clothing options for the kids and babies, but make sure it’s something comfortable for them too! Comfortable kids are happier kids!
Make sure the kids have all had a snack right before the session so nobody gets “hangry!” (and maybe a snack for the grown-ups too!)
Bring bribes! Marshmallows are perfect since they’re small and white and don’t leave any mess on the mouths of your kiddos!
Enjoy yourself and let your babies enjoy themselves too! I want to capture the dynamics and connections that already exist in your sweet family and the session doesn’t have to flow exactly like we expect! Let the kids run around and explore and they’ll show us those perfect little aspects of their personalities that we definitely want to capture!
