There’s something magical about summertime at the Dallas Arboretum—the sun shining through the trees, the pops of color in every direction, and the peaceful way the gardens make you feel like you’ve stepped into a storybook. It was the perfect backdrop for Kate and Matt’s engagement session, and I can’t imagine a sweeter couple to photograph.

We wandered through the Arboretum, stopping at some of my favorite spots. Kate looked absolutely radiant in her airy sundress, and Matt couldn’t stop smiling every time he pulled her close. They were playful and tender all at once, which made my job behind the camera such a joy.
