Jackson Newborn Session | Dallas Arboretum

There’s something so timeless about photographing families in the gardens of the Dallas Arboretum. The soft greenery, blooming flowers, and golden light create the most peaceful setting for capturing new beginnings. This newborn session was extra special—not only did we celebrate the arrival of a precious baby girl, but she was welcomed by two very proud big sisters who absolutely stole my heart.

The Arboretum was the perfect spot for this family’s portraits. The big sisters twirled in their light summer dresses, showing off their excitement while sneaking peeks at their tiny baby sis. Their joy was pure and contagious—such a sweet reminder of how love grows when a new baby joins the family.

We kept the session light and natural, wandering through shaded pathways and stopping in sunny open spaces where the girls could run free. The baby snuggled close in her parents’ arms, and I was able to capture not only those tender newborn moments, but also the playful, candid energy that comes with siblings.

One of my favorite portraits was of the sisters leaning close to kiss their sister’s forehead—it was such a quiet, tender moment that perfectly summed up their new roles as big sisters and protectors.

This session was such a joy to photograph. The Dallas Arboretum gave us the dreamiest backdrop, but it was this sweet family’s love for one another that made the images truly shine.
